A Finnish company, founded in 1966 by [l268323] and [l7704]-Polygram. The leader Toivo Kärki was already known from Fazer. [l268323] was the Finnish company that was involved in almost every aspect of the music business in Finland since 1910 from retail to publishing and to instrument manufacturing. Labels after 1966 under Finnlevy were the new ones Philips, Fontana, Polydor together with the old ones [l61946] and Decca. Oy Finnlevy Ab bought [l294506] in 1972, which had bought already [l119028], and they both continued later under new owner [l268323]. [l598776] was established too and was as registered until 2010. Since 1974 Fazer owned [l39812] totally as a subcompany concerning record industry and distribution. Brands included Finnlevy, Scandia/[l294506] since 1972 and Decca. Also Delta (4) and Finndisc continued with [l119028]. Their studio was [l364449]. [l65001] has been as well as a label since 1970 until 1999 or even longer. In 1993 Warner Music bought the company and many of the former brands were disbanded, but the company still continues under [l112757].
