About
Reissue series from ca. 1926 of acoustically recorded Classical music by the German label Grammophon. The recordings featured pairings of disparate sides that were originally published as single-sided records. With 10-inch records selling at RM 7.00 ("20") and 12-inch records selling at RM 9.75 ("20 m"), this series featured a particularly beautiful label. The issues were also pressed on high-quality shellac. Both was supposed to make these older recordings attractive even though electrical recordings had been introduced in 1925. NOTE: Only use as a series name; the label name should be Grammophon.
