Hi Recording Corporation was a Memphis soul and rockabilly company started in 1957 by singer [a998461], record store owner [a1299817], [a589156] and [a689215] (formerly producers for Sun Records), and three silent partners, including Cuoghi's lawyer, Nick Pesce. In 1977, Pesce sold the label to Cream Records owned by [a4164940] . The label was operated by his daughter, Adalah Bennett Shaw, from 1989 until her death in 2008.[3] Much of Hi's music was recorded at Mitchell's Royal Sound Studio a.k.a. [l445640]. If "Hi Recording" or "Hi Recording Studios" are given as a location, use Hi Studios. Also credited as; -Hi Recording Corp. -HI Recording Corp., Memphis, Tenn.
