[b]Please note: Releases on the Die Stimme Seines Herrn/His Master's Voice label often also display the EMI logo. This indicates that Die Stimme Seines Herrn/His Master's Voice was part of the EMI Group and that EMI should not be added as a label.[/b] The Nipper-trademark was owned in Germany since 1917 by Deutsche Grammophon-Aktiengesellschaft, and later, since 1937, by the Deutsche Grammophon GmbH. It accompanied their records on the Grammophon label. In 1949 it was sold to Electrola Gesellschaft m.b.H., which became EMI Electrola GmbH in 1972.
