Label group grown out of Beggars Banquet Records. Founded by its MD, Martin Mills. Beggars Group is (as of 2008) the largest indie label group, with a number of in-house labels such as 4AD, City Beat, Young Turks and Too Pure. It has 50% stakes in other labels, such as Matador Records Ltd., XL Recordings, Rough Trade and Wiiija Records Ltd.. President from January 2022: Nabil Ayers.
