About

# F-Minus

F-Minus was an American hardcore punk band formed in 1995 in Huntington Beach, California, by Jen Johnson and Brad Logan. The duo became known for their distinctive approach to punk, featuring dynamic dueling male and female vocals across tracks that often pushed the boundaries of conventional song structure, with some pieces clocking in at just 12 seconds. Their raw, energetic sound drew from classic hardcore influences and helped define the West Coast punk scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

During their active years, F-Minus built a reputation for their uncompromising DIY ethos and collaborative spirit within the punk community. Their final studio album was notably recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini, capturing the band's intense live energy before their 2004 breakup. Following the group's dissolution, both members continued to shape the underground music scene—Brad Logan established the independent label Blacknoise and collaborated with New York-based punk act Leftöver Crack, while Jen Johnson remained active in California's music community.
