About

# Frank Navetta

Frank Navetta was an American guitarist and songwriter who co-founded the influential punk rock band the Descendents in Manhattan Beach, California during the late 1970s. He contributed to the band's formative releases, including their debut single, the Fat EP (1981), and landmark album Milo Goes to College (1982), establishing himself as a key creative force in the band's distinctive post-punk sound.

Following his initial departure from the Descendents, Navetta reunited with the band for the 1996 album Everything Sucks and continued collaborating with original members Bill Stevenson and Tony Lombardo on new material. His final recordings were posthumously released on the critically acclaimed album 9th & Walnut (2021), which showcased Navetta's enduring songwriting and guitar work with the band.
