About

# Peter Christopherson

A pioneering figure in industrial and experimental electronic music, Peter Christopherson (known as Sleazy) co-founded Throbbing Gristle, one of the most influential industrial acts of the late 1970s, and later established Coil, a boundary-pushing electronic project known for its avant-garde sound design and conceptual depth. His work with Psychic TV further cemented his role in shaping the intersection of industrial, psychedelic, and electronic music throughout the 1980s and beyond.

Beyond his band work, Christopherson's artistic vision extended to music video direction and visual design, most notably directing the Nine Inch Nails short film *Broken* (1993). Following his relocation to Thailand in 2005, he continued his solo explorations under the moniker The Threshold HouseBoys Choir, maintaining his commitment to experimental electronic production and pushing the boundaries of ambient and industrial soundscapes until his death in 2010.
