Phil Puleo is a New York-based percussionist and composer known for his dynamic work within experimental and industrial music. As a founding member of the influential industrial rock outfit Cop Shoot Cop in the 1990s, Puleo helped shape the band's abrasive, rhythm-driven sound that blended punk aggression with electronic textures. His precise, propulsive drumming became a signature element of their uncompromising approach to post-industrial music.

Since joining Swans as a full-time member in 2010, Puleo has been integral to the group's evolution, contributing intricate percussion arrangements to their expansive, drone-influenced compositions.
