Emerging from Denver's early 1980s underground scene, Zozobra built a reputation as an avant-garde experimental act that pushed the boundaries of electronic and multimedia performance. The collective—anchored by Steve Antonio, Stephen Wray Lobdell, Jeff Hunt, and Need Windham—created immersive sonic experiences that blended electronic instrumentation with innovative visual elements, including 8mm projections and custom-designed light installations that were integral to their artistic vision.
