He soon transitioned to the drums, showcasing his talent on "Stormblåst" and contributing to the band's evolving sound until 1999.

Today, Tjodalv channels his rhythmic expertise into the metal bands Black Comedy and Susperia, continuing to influence the metal genre with his innovative drumming and musical versatility. His work, particularly with Dimmu Borgir, has left an indelible mark on the black metal landscape, cementing his status as a key figure in the evolution of the genre.
