About

# Godley & Creme

British duo Lol Creme (guitar) and Kevin Godley (drums) emerged as innovators in electronic and experimental music following their departure from 10cc in 1977. The pair carved out a distinctive niche blending progressive rock with synthesizer-driven soundscapes, most notably through their ambitious 1981 triple album *Consequences*, a conceptual work that integrated dialogue and narrative elements with their instrumental compositions. Beyond their studio work, Godley & Creme became influential figures in music video production during the medium's formative years, creating visually striking content that helped define the aesthetic of 1980s electronic music—most memorably collaborating on Herbie Hancock's iconic "Rockit" video. Their collaborative output established them as pioneers at the intersection of music production, visual art, and electronic experimentation before they disbanded in 1988.
