New York-based bassist and keyboardist Hannah Moorhead has built a prolific career collaborating with innovative artists across indie rock and electronic music scenes. Known for her versatile approach to bass guitar and synthesizer work, Moorhead has contributed to numerous projects that have shaped the creative landscape of NYC's music community since the late 1990s. Her early work with **Battershell** (NG Records) and **The Twenty Twos** (Epic Records)—the latter earning placements on major motion picture soundtracks including *Grandma's Boy* and *Elektra*—established her as a dynamic session and touring musician.
Throughout the 2010s, Moorhead expanded her sonic palette through collaborative projects including **Suspicious Light** (praised by Gigwise and Deli Magazine as one of NYC's best new bands), **The Netherlands**, and **Silver Rockets**. Her production-focused work with producer Martin Bisi led to her current role with **Rocket Silence**, fronted by synthesist Nikolai Zeinikov. Moorhead continues to tour and record, most recently joining **The Giraffes** as bassist, where she contributed to their LP *Flower of the Cosmos*. Her work spans from synth-driven indie projects to bass-forward compositions, reflecting her commitment to pushing creative boundaries across contemporary music.
