About

# Modern Eon

Modern Eon emerged from Liverpool's vibrant post-punk scene in 1978, crafting a distinctive blend of post-punk and new wave that captured the experimental spirit of early 1980s British music. The group's sonic palette drew from synthesizer-driven arrangements and angular guitar work, positioning them within the broader electronic experimentation happening across the UK underground at the time.

The band's sole studio release, *Fiction Tales* (1981), arrived on the independent UK label Dindisc and showcased their innovative approach to new wave production. Though their recording output remained limited, Modern Eon contributed to the rich tapestry of British post-punk and new wave that influenced generations of electronic and alternative music producers.
