The 101ers were a London-based pub rock outfit that emerged from the mid-1970s UK rock scene, performing a raw rockabilly-influenced sound across London's live venue circuit. Formed in 1974 and initially performing as "El Huaso and the 101 All Stars," the group became fixtures at free festivals and underground venues before settling on their abbreviated moniker.

Though rooted in traditional rock rather than electronic music, the 101ers hold historical significance as the launching pad for Joe Strummer's career before his pivotal move to the Clash, where he would help pioneer punk rock's cultural impact.
